This is your invitation to participate in the 29th Annual Supermileage Challenge tentatively set for Monday & Tuesday, May 15th & 16th, 2017.  The date is dependent on the availability of BIR!  We are working to confirm this date.  This event is sponsored by THE MINNESOTA TECHNOLOGY and ENGINEERING EDUCATION ASSOCIATION, Briggs and Stratton, Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association, and Brainerd International Raceway. The objective of the competition is to provide a challenge of classroom learning experiences together with your ingenuity and teamwork to produce the most fuel efficient vehicle.

All rules are important and must be followed. Having said that there have been teams allowed to compete in the past with cars that do not meet the intent of the rules for the MTEEA Supermileage challenge. This program is under new leadership. Just because a car has competed in the past will not guarantee that the design is legal and may not be allowed to compete this year with out being fixed. Please ensure that your car(s) completely meet the rules. If you have questions please ask with pictures This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

To enter the 2017 Supermileage Challenge, you must complete the INTENT TO ENTER form (Word) (PDF) and return it along with the ENTRY FEE by November 30th, 2016. This form can be downloaded in Word or PDF using the above link.

Also, the Official Rules have some changes and are posted on the web site.

We are looking to increase participation in the E-85 Class!  There are links in the “Technical Section” of the website for E-85 conversion, including information on a “baseline kit” to convert the Jr206 to run on E-85. The cost of the kit is expected to be less than $50.

Please mail Fees & Intent to enter, Design Proposals & all forms to;
